Time Gate Crossing

1998: A 747 commercial jet enters severe turbulence on a routine flight from New York to Los Angeles. The airliner, 230 passengers and crew, emerge 500 years into the future. Five key people must be returned to the twentieth century. They are: A United States Congressman; he will change the course of global defense. His wife is among the group. An African American physics professor; he will tutor a special student. That pupil will discover the building blocks for an unlimited source of efficient energy. His developments will impact space exploration. A young couple from upstate New York; they will parent a boy who pioneers the advancement of genetic engineering. It’s a critical issue in the future. There are self-serving elements in the twenty-third Century that disagree with the return of the five passengers. Intrigue, murder, deceit and greed are woven into the plot. The story is more than an accidental breach in the fabric of time. There are political, religious, economic, social and moral issues at stake.
