Tickled to Death

Claire Malloy, Farberville's plucky amateur sleuth, feels the pull of summer doldrums until a predicament sends her to a posh lakefront community. Her best friend, Luanne, is having an affair with Dick Cissel, a dentist who just may have murdered his two previous wives. While the police are determined to prove Dick guilty of double homicide, Luanne wants Claire to confirm him no Bluebeard and, therefore, prime marriage material.

Claire plunges into an investigation. And even when her efforts blow the lid off a nest of greed, passion, and oh-so-clever murder, there still remains one very menacing question for this intrepid sleuth who's coming too close for a killer's comfort: If Dick didn't murder his wives, who did?
