On a fog-shrouded Chicago night, Eden Payne saw three men disposing of a woman's body. One of the men she recognized as a powerful politician. Unfortunately, he found out her identity, too. Now, to prevent being the next victim, she was on the run.

Eden took refuge in a nearby carnival. But it wasn't the safe haven she'd hoped for. Soon there were three attempts on her life, and Eden wondered if it was someone inside the carnival.
