Of all the battles of all time, the battle of Gettysburg stands out as one of the most powerful. It was a battle that came out of nowhere. A group of Southern soldiers looking for shoes, but ending up with a scrap instead--a scrap that turned into a fight, turned into a skirmish, turned into a battle that no American has ever forgotten.
