To borrow a phrase from the French, "vive la différence", meaning "long live the difference", is often used to express appreciation of diversity; and diversity is, after all, just another word for ‘difference'. Look around you and find things that are the same and things that are different. And remember, if we didn't have sadness, there would be no happiness. If we didn't have cold there would be no hot. And if things weren't different, especially people, then this would be a pretty boring world in which to live.
