Sarah Riordan had one passionate aim in life: to keep the house and lands of Dun Rury in the family - no easy task for a young and inexperienced girl, but one she was determined to carry through. Adrian Flint, who came to Dun Rury as a paying guest, had also one aim: to escape from his broken career, his frustrated ambitions and his bitter disappointment.
