Slade Stone, newbie detective from Vegas, stumbles into the world of International Espionage and finds America at risk. With his cousin Gunner from the British Secret Service, Slade will have to fight the CIA and the government to overturn the terms of the Zone, or the Chinese and Russians will own the U.S. The Zone has shocking plot twists, beautiful women, and general intrigue. Though it is entirely fictional, everything in this book could happen in today's world. An avid James Bond and Mike Hammer fan, Richard Banko was inspired by those characters, their stories, and real world events to write The Zone. He is an avid sports fan and very much into today's jumbled political scene.
