Lady Margaret Kane has a plan. After a brush with danger last year, her parents insist that she settle on a gentleman to marry before the Season is out. But Meg wants only one man, her brother’s friend Jason Napier. And since he’s never shown any romantic interest in her, she believes he would be the perfect gentleman to play the ardent suitor to satisfy her parents.

Jason refuses to go along with Meg’s scheme. The reason? He’s attracted to her beauty, her wit, and her wildness and doesn’t trust himself to keep his hands off her. She’s his good friend’s sister and the daughter of an earl, and far beyond his reach.
