The Web of Love

"If you marry him then you are no longer a daughter of mine and I shall disown you." In spite of her father's threat, Sheila Maxwell decides to give up everything to follow her heart. However, her new life with Joe is anything but easy; although he is handsome and charming, he never manages to hold down a job for very long and they soon find themselves sinking ever faster into poverty. The birth of their son should be a joyous occasion, but Sheila fears for him amongst the filth and despair of the slums of Cardiff. And when Joe is involved in a robbery and badly injured Sheila is faced with a devastating truth. Can her love for Joe survive, and will she be able to provide a better future for herself and her son?
