The Weapons They Use

After taking their family's cabin cruiser out on the lake, with alcohol they'd stolen from their father's liquor cabinet, two brothers begin to celebrate their eighteenth birthday. The next morning, Sam is jolted awake by Seth's terrified screams that, they're coming back! We have to get away!Fast forward twelve years to their thirtieth birthday: Seth climbs to the top of a twenty-story building and opens fire on a crowd of people at a street fair. Shortly before the shooting, Seth sends a cryptic video to his estranged twin insisting that Sam reach out to a woman named Karma Taylor, a friend to whom he has given his journals for safe keeping. The journals, Seth insists, explain what really happened and that he, Seth, is only one of the many weapons they use.After two FBI agents barge into Lt. Sam Jackson's office on Parris Island Marine Base, to inform him of his brother's crimes and subsequent suicide, he reaches out to Karma. After an acrimonious meeting, where Sam is sure Karma is as nutty as a fruitcake, they agree to a tenuous, fact-finding, partnership. They begin to peel back the layers of propaganda and uncover the truth of what really happened to Seth and Sam at the lake. As bodies begin to pile up, Sam and Karma come face to face with a reality that the government has known that aliens have been among us for decades, and a rogue faction of the alien federation is on the loose.
