Laura Redmond read the strange warning in a letter written to her by her father shortly before he died, Mr. Redman had been found shot in the head with his own gun. The official verdict was suicide, but Laura knew that her father had been murdered. Laura sets out to catch a killer and the handsome stranger seen leaving a few days before seems very suspicious.
