Jill Laughton is a professional woman and she is unhappy. Not with the work; that's interesting and the pay is good. But with everything else. It's Christmas and she hates Christmas. It has not been the best time of year for her in the past. As a matter of fact, it has been the very worst time. And now it's here. Again. All the tinsel and bells and trees flocked and unflocked with ornaments hanging from the branches. The Christmas carols, the ringing bells, the egg nog, apple cider, cinnamon, candy and all the cloying, cloying, cloying well wishes, greetings, and Merry this and that. She's fed up with it and only wants to get home, bolt the door and forget about it. But then she meets a man, an odd man with a strange hat, and that changes everything.
