Gambling had grown out of control across the country and now a new syndicate is moving into the Vegas strip. Rumors spread about possible key national political figures involved and suspected of being on the take. The FBI's Los Angeles Bureau is heading up the investigation. Recovering from her near-fatal injuries suffered during the bomb blast that killed her best friend, Agent Allisa Jones, Blair Adams wants to go back home and puts in a request to be assigned to the Los Angeles Bureau. How will she fit into this new case? Will she be satisfied with a desk assignment? Questions remain regarding her recovery, both mentally and physically from events of the past. Will she be ready for her new role? Will the nightmare of the bombing and her best friends death continue to haunt her? The Director has plans to utilize her in a new capacity. Blair has other ideas.
