INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Vivienne Courbet, and I've been a vampire since 1119. Let me assure you I don't look a day over twenty-nine. You're probably more familiar with my blood sister, Deirdre Griffin, but she's on holiday right now so I thought I'd take center stage and tell you my life story.

Recently I was appointed figurehead of the Cadre, a vampire fellowship in Manhattan, and my duties haven't demanded much—until now. You see, war has been declared against the Cadre, and a close friend of mine was among the first fatalities. I must put an end to this rebellion before I lose anyone else.

My handsome human lover, Dr. John Samuels, will assist me in my efforts—and anything else I should need. As of yet, I'm unsure if our enemies are human or vampire. But when I find out, I vow that blood will be spilled....
