About This Book

The Vampire Congress: Book One of The Samhain Chronicles

Rookie police officer Mickey Johnson discovers a dead body in the parking lot of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, its throat torn open and apparently drained of blood. Her involvement in the case brings her to a startling truth: she has no idea of the extent of the dark, hidden underside of Spokane.
While trying solve the case, she and her partner, Seneca Warner, realize that the murder involves the Vampire Congress and that it could reignite a many centuries old feud between the Vampire Clans and the area's pack of werewolves. This bitter, ancient rivalry pales in comparison, however, to the internal political conflicts among the Vampires themselves.
A blooming romance with a mysterious man, an assassination attempt against her, and another murder in nearby Cheney make for a wild and emotionally turbulent ride as she and Warner desperately try to get to the bottom of the case before the Vampire Congress meets on Halloween at the Davenport Hotel. Officer Johnson will have to use every ounce of strength, cunning and magick she possesses to prevent the rise of a Vampire racist and to protect the werewolf she's come to love.
