The Vampire and the Nightingale

After three hundred years, Darius Pine has lost none of his flair for life. Or his thirst for justice. A member of the unique and secretive group of what most would simply label vampires, known as “The Gifted,” he devotes himself to issuing the just rewards to those that have escaped the retribution they deserve. To do so however he has to avoid the entanglements of the political side of the “New Templars,” the leadership of the nation’s Gifted.

So when the Templar leader needs a favor in return for his being left alone, Darius is delighted to find out it involves an old enemy of his own and a final chance to right a past wrong. Only to find an innocent life on the line, a way of life threatened and his own life in jeopardy as well.
