The Urchin

Vance Amherst is the leader of what's left of the Stanton Academy, a boys' school that was spared the devastation that turned most of the United States into a vast wasteland. Every day the guys struggle to grow enough food to survive. And every night they fight to defend the school against their former teachers and fellow classmates who have been infected with vampirism. To make matters worse, the school's vice-principal-turned-head-bloodsucker has a vendetta against Vance. Still, things are endurable until Nick, a pilot on a secret mission, crash lands into their lives. Nick is determined to get the hell out of the wasteland by doing the one thing that Vance will never agree to do — kill all the vampires.
