About This Book

After a long evening of photographing the local rich and famous at a charity party, all Karen Whitaker wants to do is unload her equipment and go home. Her dreaming of falling into bed vanishes abruptly when she arrives at her studio, however. First she's attacked by a man who is after her camera case, then she's chased by a black limousine and shot at as she races to the police station. Worse still, the chief of police thinks she imagined the whole incident!

With the villains at large, a panicked Karen seeks the safety of a friend's house, only to end up at the wrong address. Luckily, handsome Mitch Logan is more understanding than the police. As a mystery writer, he is intrigued by her story, and he agrees to take her in while explaining that her friend is out of town. As they try to uncover the motive behind her attack, Karen begins to fall in love with Mitch, but her time is running out. Whatever was captured on her rolls of film is of deadly importance to someone out there, and whoever it is may be closer than she thinks...
