The Trouble with Jake

Jake is dead, thanks to a sudden storm in the small, rural village of White’s Bluff. He didn’t consider himself much of a ghost. How could you haunt, if no one knew you existed. But that didn’t stop him from rescuing fifteen year old Kathryn from a treacherous fall.

A few years later, Kathryn had it together, university classes, awesome part-time job, and a law-school bound boyfriend. A harsh discovery tore it all apart. After driving all night, she wasn't surprised to find herself back in White's Bluff. She'd always found a sense of peace there.

Then she discovered her imaginary hero wasn't a fantasy after all.

Kathryn fled. But she couldn't ignore the questions. Who was he? Why was he here?

Jake was ecstatic someone else finally knew about him.

As she searched to find out more about him, Jake had to make a hard decision. Should he selfishly encourage her to be content with what little he can offer, or send her away to forget him and find the fulfilling life she deserves?

What happens next is beyond either of their wildest dreams.
