A failed black-ops mission in eastern Europe has retired NYPD detective and Navy SEAL Michael Keough recalled back to Washington. It's there that a random encounter with a gunman leads Keough to uncover a conspiracy targeting the highest levels of the United States government.

The case has local law enforcement, the FBI, and the Secret Service on high alert to stop a potential presidential assassination. But Keough is not convinced of the gunman's true intentions—and the deeper he digs, the more disturbing the plot becomes.

With our democracy on the line, Keough searches for the truth. But by the time he finds it, lives will be lost, and he suddenly realizes he may have put a loved one in harm's way.
