The Track Runner

Like his father before him, Alex is an impressive runner and track star. His strength, speed, and determination make him an Olympic hopeful.

Then violence puts his life on an entirely different path.

Mistaken for someone else, Alex is badly beaten by a drug lord’s goons. Traumatized by the event, the young man loses all interest in running. So when a military recruiter offers a chance to escape his neighborhood, he willingly enlists.

Alex proves a strong, competent soldier during basic training. Although he keeps to himself, he makes a friend in Dreto, a man struggling with the rigors of boot camp. A strong bond builds between the two men, with neither knowing what destiny has planned for them.

Alex excels in his military career, going on to become a Navy SEAL. His time with the SEALs exposed him to some of the worst humanity has to offer, leaving him determined to make a difference.

Back home however, the same criminal who ruined Alex’s childhood now runs his old neighborhood. Alex cannot let this stand.

But when he confronts the drug lord, only one will leave alive.
