The Tortoise Lives Forever

Realizing that the recent close calls of their respective adventures have almost parted them for good, Ginger and her long-time love, Lt. Detective David Hernandez, decide to retire from law enforcement and move to Mexico to follow their dreams. David surprises Ginger with a proposal and they are finally wed. Purchasing an antique rancho over the internet, they move to Pozos, an old mining town near San Miguel de Allende, but their well-earned rest is delayed as the past history of their new home intrudes and a seventy-year-old cold case emerges. Throwing herself into this new challenge, Ginger pursues the ghostly past successfully and enjoys a full year of wedded bliss with David before a new and terrible tragedy strikes changing their future forever.
