About This Book

The Timber Shed is a story about strength and forgiveness against insurmountable odds. Piper is an American Chef who visits France to surprise her husband, a famed French Chef. Piper discovers her husband traveled to France with a mistress. Her world collides with Jacquemart Dartmount who imprisons her in his derelict chateau. Piper is witness to several murders committed by Jacquemart in a small shed located on the grounds. Jacquemart's horrors began at birth when his jailed mother attempted to drown him after birth. Guards rescued Jacquemart and he was housed in the infirmary until he was placed in the care of his birth father; a French aristocrat. Jacquemart begins to theorize that his overwhelming feelings of inadequacy are due to the fact that he was born behind bars. Before escaping Piper will learn about her strength and character while Jacquemart learns to forgive those who caused his mental entrapments.
