About This Book

A human and an alien unite in a desperate fight for survival.Warrain spends his days and nights plotting revenge. Five years before, the Mechs threw Warrain and the rest of the scientists of SciCorp out of Station One, leaving his father dead and his mother and unborn sibling lost to him. And it is not as if Warrain can call on Earth's judiciary for justice. He lives on the far side of the galaxy, on the planet Imago, and Earth went quiet years ago.The SciCorp scientists claw out a new Station for themselves but when the Mechs pay them a visit, Warrain fears he is about to lose his home all over again. There is sickness in Station One and the Mechs need SciCorp's help to cure it. They have weapons, unlike SciCorp, and no one is under any illusion who holds the power. When Warrain's friend, Lirra, a young medico in training, volunteers to aid them, Warrain makes sure he goes with her, determined to deal the Mechs a blow they will never forget. But then everything changes. A third moon appears in the sky, one of Imago's life-forms calls Warrain by name, and Warrain discovers love for the first time. As the third moon swings closer and the dangers multiply, Warrain finds himself in a deadly fight for survival. To protect those he loves and Imago's alien creatures, he must turn his back on the hate that has long sustained him and find a new way to live.
