The Tall Stranger

When Barbie has her fortune read from a tea-cup she is told to beware a tall stranger who will cross her path.

Barbie France and the very charming Edward Steyne have known each other all their lives. They were childhood sweethearts, and Edward assumes that they will marry some day. Barbie consents to their engagement, but she is soon troubled by Edward's sometimes unusual behavior -- especially his unreasonably hostile reaction to the handsome stranger she meets at a wedding. Then Barbie goes off to Scotland to help decorate a client's "castle," and finds the handsome stranger has once more entered her life.
