The Succubus

It is another truth universally acknowledged: a woman doesn't marry the person she loves; she marries her mother-in-law. So when the prince fails to waken sleeping beauty, mother-in-law steps in and succeeds all too well. The awakening produces the Succubus. The consequences might be containable if beautiful Theresa were not someone who feels obliged to reconstruct the lives of those around her according to her superior knowledge and wisdom.
