About This Book

A moving story of love spanning 30 years. It begins as Kadia, a Russian Jew, narrowly escapes the execution of an SS squad in 1943. God's small miracle. She stumbles into war torn Berlin in 1945 and meets a fleeing German soldier and orphaned boy also escaping from the Russian menace. Together, they form a family. After the war, they arrive in America to begin a new life with joy and tragedy from which Kadia finds what her purpose in life is. Her direction. Success blesses the couple and Kadia becomes an attorney. Years fly by until the Kadia's and Helmut's past resurfaces with shock waves in the courtroom. Kadia must now prosecute her former lover. Was the man she loved and met in Berlin what he appeared to be? But, the twists do not end in court as the love between them survives until a fluke accident intervenes.
