The Stolen Speech: A Novella

A bold new bill is introduced which proposes a revolutionary system to regulate the State's schools. Non-partisan in nature, it leads to intense debate in the House.



Member of the House Bob Whitney practices his speech about the bill in a private area of the Capitol. He is overheard by fellow House member Alfred Barker. Barker knows a good speech when he hears it and is envious of Whitney's skill as an orator.



Barker gains possession of the speech when Whitney carelessly leaves it behind on the desk.



This is a story about the stolen speech and how it is used.
