The Stationmaster's Daugher

Glasgow, 1935: The only child of loving parents, Carrie Burgess enjoys life as the stationmaster's daughter in bustling Partick in the West End of Glasgow. Her only real problem is her attraction to two very different young men. There's Ewen Livingstone, an uneducated railway labourer, and then there's Matthew Campbell, a handsome railway clerk whose family consider themselves a cut above their neighbours.

Ewen is Carrie's friend. Matt arouses her passions. Tragedy strikes when Carrie is 17 and she is forced to make a decision.
