Megan and her family had always been "summer people" in the lovely little Massachusetts town by the sea...the secluded rich, who never mingled with the townsfolk, and left with the first cold wind.

Megan had long dreamed of being part of "real life" down by the boatyards where the year-round people lived. Opening her own pottery shop on Front Street was a perfect opportunity...and a perfect chance to be close to Jake Nickerson who worked at the harbor. Jake...who had become much more than just the childhood friend who had shared so many of her summers.

But "real life" at the waterfront turns out to be much more than idyllic nights of love. When Megan has to identify the body of a friend who has been murdered, she is struck with the chilling realization that she's in the middle of a treacherous scheme...and dangerously close to a man who could turn her dreams into nightmares.
