About This Book

The headlines are true. The world economy has collapsed. Thousands are left unemployed. Thousands more are left homeless after the banks foreclose on their mortgages. Politician after politician insist that same sex marriages and homosexuality will bring about the ruin of modern civilization. The story is fiction. After Conner and Payton lose their high-paying jobs they are forced to take part-time jobs in order to stay alive. Eventually they are evicted from the home and the life they built together. A special law enforcement force known as the SQUAD loads the newly homeless onto trucks for transport to relocation camps. Conner and Payton are separated while they are being loaded onto the truck. Payton goes to the camp, and Conner is left to wander the streets with thousands of other homeless, hoping to avoid the SQUAD. As Conner searches for a way to free Payton from the camp, she stumbles across a plan to rid the city, and eventually the world of the gay, sick and poor. Now she has to make a choice between the love of her life and hundreds if not thousands of lives. Fiction? Or a portent of things to come?
