She knows they're out there somewhere . . .

Cadi Shaw wants to flee Murphy, but she can't bear leaving everyone she loves behind.  After the fire destroyed their last lair, there has been no sign of the five bloodthirsty Nychos diminishments. Memories of being their procurer still haunt her days and nights and Cadi hopes they have left the area for good.

They haven't. An attack on a church at Christmas Eve proves that they are still here, desperate for humans to fulfill their spells. Kidnappings, stampedes, and deaths are becoming more commonplace in Murphy, leaving Cadi no choice but to do the one thing she fears. Fight them.
