When Franklin Stanley, patriarch of the Catskill Mountain's notoriously haunted Hawk's Talon House, died unexpectedly on the 27th of August 1935, he unwittingly set off a chain of events leading to the disappearance of three people and a rumored fortune in gold. Eighty years later Franklin's now 103 year old son Grayson is still searching for the answer to the mystery that took his sister, her fiancé, and a loyal servant. In a desperate attempt to solve the puzzle before he dies, Grayson allows a celebrity edition of a popular paranormal reality show to shoot at Hawk's Talon House on the anniversary of the day they vanished without a trace.
