      Ever since the whale swallowed Jonah, there have been stories about massive fish and the people who hunt them. And just as the whale ultimately lost Jonah, so the tales of those that got away evoke delicious mystery, and give rise to fishing legends. I had experienced something amazing in the sea and was left with a delicious frustration at not really knowing just how big a glimpsed fish actually was. I now realise that I had begun to appreciate the mystique surrounding fishing, that inexplicable emotion that goes way beyond the basic enjoyment of merely trying to catch a fish.
