At fifteen, Isla isn’t sure why her life suddenly seems complicated, but she is certain that there is a secret to be uncovered. Grandma has always told her stories of the sea and the selkie people. Now she is starting to believe that these stories have something to do with the way she is feeling about herself. Then there is the problem of Sam! Sam is simply another boy in her class, until Isla discovers that he knows the selkie stories and wants to talk to her about them.
