The Scarab

The scarab is a story of rebirth and renewal…for a people, a family, and a young man who is searching for his place in life. Arns Levi labeled himself a misfit both at home and away from it. Born a Cheyenne and then orphaned, Arns was raised by his Cheyenne grandparents. His outlook on life gradually shifts from being one of bitterness and regret to one being filled with promise and opportunity. Arns struggle in understanding racial tensions leaves him in a constant tug-o-war as he strives to gain perspective on what his purpose is in life. Seeking answers, he comes to understand how faith, familial love, and staying true to his heritage all play a part in who he is called to be.
