The Savant

The Savant was six years old. She was the most psychic person alive, therefore she was dangerous to many. She was kept under lock and key in a secret underground military base with a team of doctors and scientists to study her. She'd been told she'd been grown in a lab, so she didn't have any real parents, apart from their genetic material she was made from. But she was starting to suspect that was not the whole truth. Her mental and psychic abilities were progressing at an advanced rate, even more quickly than her handlers had hoped for. -A short sci-fi story, a cautionary tale, perhaps.
