The Run-Away Game

Controlled vocabulary is expanded through six levels, following the popular "Letters and Sounds" phonics scheme from Phase 2 to Phase 4, building up from simple CVC words (level 1) to double letter sounds (level 2), two letter graphemes (level 3), adjacent consonants (level 4), two letter graphemes, and split long vowels (level 5) and alternative spellings (level 6). Produced in association with Espresso Education, the leading digital curriculum service in the UK—used in over 10,000 schools. A puzzle encourages children to practice their decoding skills and an Espresso Connections section suggests further activities on Espresso Education.
