The Rose Beyond the Wall

Rachel has always been close to her grandmother. Only now Grandma is very sick—she might even die. Rachel is worried and needs someone to talk to. But her parents refuse to discuss Grandma's illness.

Rachel used to be able to turn to her childhood friend Jim. But he seems so busy with his new friends and interests. Rachel's afraid she's losing them both!

Surprisingly, it's Grandma herself, with her courage and loving kindness, who teaches Rachel how to "let go" of people. She helps Rachel understand that people are not possessions and cannot be owned. And most important, she helps Rachel see that "goodbye" doesn't have to be final and forever.
