The Rockhouse Point Ghost

This is my first paranormal romance short story and it's over 4,300 words. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. Helen Keating.

The Rockhouse Point Ghost, is a story about a lighthouse legend and the current keeper of the lighthouse, a young women in the Coast Guard. She's there right before Valentine's Day to do routine maintenance as well as to keep an eye on the old beacon. Legend has it that a ghost haunts the place every lover's day, seeking to find his lost love. He died before he could consummate their new marriage and visited the place every year up until his bride passed away from old age. She used to place a single red rose at the base of the lighthouse in his memory. Now, he prevents the lighthouse from working on that single day of the year. Can Caroline keep the light alive? What else might she encounter as she goes about her duties? Love may win after all.
