What if you could try out life as another person? Who would you choose? Izzy Mantic, a freewheeling cynic, is given that choice; but he's not too sure that he likes his options. Izzy's car skids off a mountain road, and as he tumbles towards almost certain death he is saved by a beautiful girl from the future. Rhonda Heart leaves him with the technology to time travel within his own past and take over the bodies of anyone he desires. That's the good news. The bad news is that he is trapped in that past; and he's being hunted by some vicious temporal enforcers. As his pursuers start closing in, Rhonda returns to let Izzy know that there is a way he can save himself and repair her future. He has to invent a new religion. There is only one problem: Izzy doesn't believe in religion.
