Outed at school, Maurice runs from the hell he finds himself in and seeks help from a gay organization but decides to return home. His father is very homophobic and beats him severely landing him in hospital. He attempts suicide, is taken from his parents, and the children's court place him in foster care but again he is surrounded by homo phobics and runs away to the city. He has to survive and becomes a prostitute, becoming mixed up with drugs, murder and police corruption. His life becomes a living hell but he is a survivor and meets a man who ultimately becomes his lover; an unlikely lover for he is his pimp. Maurice's life goes from bad to worse and back to bad but he finds love and a better lifestyle only to lose all he holds dear. A story of youth suicide, society's lack of awareness to gay youth problems, young male and female prostitution, drugs and murder; love, hate and degradation. This story has funny moments, tearful and poignant moments, so have a box of tissues handy.
