The Rich Die Young

Set in the groves of a private school campus, former reporter turned teacher Ann Farrell finds a student apparently dead from a fall, but police find a knife wound that spells homicide. Was this wealthy, appealing boy the perpetrator of ugly poison-pen letters sent to faculty, including Ann? Was his murder somehow connected to the recent boating accident responsible for his best friend's death? Had his quest for sensation and experience led him down a path so risky he had to pay with his life? Ann's curiosity makes her undertake her own unofficial investigation, throwing her into repeated contact with the police lieutenant in charge of the case, the attractive, smart, and charming Alonzo Fox, who doesn't seem to mind her involvement in the least.
