The Reticent Bride

When successful gold-hunter Charles Lawson decides to settle down in Shallow Gorge, Colorado, he ends up getting more than he bargained for. He never expected his new neighbor to take such an interest in his happiness. And he certainly never expected to be talked into writing an advert for a Mail Order Bride. But when the answer to the advert comes, she is also far more than Charles bargained for. Kate O'Donnell, a young Irish immigrant, has a gorgeous face and a spitfire personality. She travels to Colorado with expectations - and Charles isn't at all sure that he or Shallow Gorge, can measure up. Even as the two are pulled apart by misunderstandings and potential disasters, they're drawn together by their mutual attraction. As Kate tries to decide between staying in Shallow Gorge or going back home, Charles does his best to measure up - and finds himself falling in love in the process.
