The Renegade

At the end of the Civil War, General John Ward McClellan returns to his southern plantation to discover that everything he possesses had been destroyed by marauding soldiers. With his family and some of the handpicked troops from his command, he travels to Colorado Territory to rebuild his fortune. When he discovers gold on his property, the town quickly grows into a thriving settlement of miners, cattlemen, and business owners who fight with fierce determination to achieve their goals. This is a story of the old west played out against the turbulent, post Civil War era. It is the story of the people who fought Indians, outlaws, and a harsh climate to make their dreams come true.
