The Renegade's Heart

Melanie Ann Muessen rides through the sunburnt plains of New Mexico Territory to photograph its inhabitants in their natural surroundings. What she discovers is a village in crisis. Years before, Rafael de Aguirre became the Renegade and protected the Tewa Pueblo. But Rafe is gone, and trouble has come again. Tewa's residents have no one to turn to--surely not their old savior's brother. The half-Zuni Diego is handsome, but he is shiftless and worthless.
