The Reluctant Messiah

From the ashes of a ruined civilization scorched in the atomic holocaust rises a new empire dominated by the Tyrant de Santa Fe. But the virgin Maria Daylight gives birth to a son she names Luther, who matures to demonstrate he possesses the power to perform miracles. As a man Luther Daylight is called upon by the ancient One True God to found a ministry and to walk the earth spreading the gospel denouncing the Tyrant's God of the Wastelands and its idol. Luther Daylight becomes the Lord's reluctant Messiah and he grapples with the fact he is following in the footsteps of the world's first Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth and he speculates if he continues doing as the Lord expects him to do he will only end up being put to death all the same as Jesus was.
