This international group financed and controlled President Edward Tuckwell's election campaign. As his ego and power grows, he decides, at the end of his second term, to try and find a way to stay in office for life. His main advisor, Valda Lewis, plays up to his enlarged image of himself with the result that he becomes less and less controllable by the group that put him into power. As he devises a way to take total control of the government, he makes many enemies.
