Danny drives into the city on a typical wet Monday evening. His hopes and aspirations of earning a night's money fill him with trepidation. After his initial fare, he soon realises that the night is going to be difficult due to the extremely bad weather and provocative nature of his first two passengers. Danny is confronted by an earlier premonition and finds himself forced into a corner when his final passenger of the night demands a return journey. However, he finds himself acting upon instinct, which leads to an unfortunate circumstance for himself and his wife, Alicia. Together, they are dragged into the mire as things go from bad to worse. Danny is left to decide how to overcome the clutches of Kris Savva, a London businessman, as he searches for the truth behind his son's demise.
