It’s Halloween night and Sean learns the scary secret about a disappearing uncle and the beautiful girl condemned to dance forever in a haunted well.

Scary stories don’t bother Sean. He loves to read them in the dark using only a torch for light.

Then one night his mother takes his torch away.

Sean gets mad and runs all the way to his Grandad’s house.

He doesn’t even care that it’s dark or even that it’s Halloween.

Sean should know better than to go out late at night, all on his own, on Halloween.

But, he knows his Grandad will understand - his cool, chocolate-loving Grandad loves scary stories as much as him.

Grace is not quite the full hermit, but she does live quietly in Galway, surrounded by rocks, stones and roads to nowhere.
